A century\u2026 of life<\/strong><\/h1>\n

1907<\/strong> Foundation of the first community in Breganze, on 6th January, Feast of Epiphany<\/p>\n

1913<\/strong> Religious clothing of Giovanna Meneghini and of the first community, with the authorization of the Bishop of Vicenza, Mons. Ferdinando Rodolfi,<\/p>\n

1914<\/strong> First Religious Profession.<\/p>\n

1918 2nd<\/sup> March<\/strong>: Death of the Foundress.<\/p>\n

1923<\/strong> Presentation to the bishop of Vicenza of the first Constitutions\u2019 project, from the draft that the Foundress wrote on the basis of Saint Angela Merici\u2019s Rule.<\/p>\n

1941<\/strong> 8th<\/sup> September: diocesan approval and establishment as Religious Congregation Ursuline Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary, with decree of the Bishop Mons. Ferdinando Rodolfi.<\/p>\n

1950 25th<\/sup> March<\/strong>: with the Holy See\u2019s approval, the institute of the Ursulines of the Sacred Heart of Mary becomes Congregation of pontifical right.<\/p>\n

1968<\/strong> Centenary from the birth and fiftieth anniversary from the death \u00a0of the Foundress: her body is transferred to the Chapel of the Mother House in Breganze.<\/p>\n

1968 – 1969<\/strong> Special General Chapter: beginning of the way back to the sources, according to the Council\u2019s indications.<\/p>\n

1971<\/strong> The Congregation receives the Decree of Praise from the Holy See.<\/p>\n

1980<\/strong> The 7th<\/sup> General Chapter concludes the research and the experimentation wanted by the Council, carrying out the project of the new Rule of Life<\/p>\n

1984<\/strong> The Holy See approves the new Rule and officially confirms the Congregation\u2019s return to the primitive intuition of the Foundress.<\/p>\n

1985<\/strong> The first sisters arrive in Brasil, at Volta Redonda<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

1988<\/strong> Second missionary foundation in Brasil, Cachoeiro de Itapemirim<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

1999<\/strong> First missionary foundation in Africa: Mozambique, Beira<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

2001<\/strong> Third missionary foundation in Brasil, Ribeirao das Neves<\/p>\n

2004<\/strong> Second missionary foundation in Mozambique, Gondola<\/p>\n
